Welcome to King's College London

Womxn In Dentistry Society

We seek to support women in all fields of dentistry and expose students to inspiring female role models.

Our aim is to encourage networking through events and workshops involving fellow students, successful women within the dental profession and beyond. Through this we hope to ignite and sustain camaraderie amongst the dental community.

About our society

We are a network of students and professionals, aiming to encourage and inspire students to achieve their full potential within dentistry.

By 2020, over half of the dental workforce will be comprised of females!

While great progress has been achieved, women are still underrepresented with regard to both leadership roles within the profession and the dental specialities. Women are underrepresented within 9 out of the 13 dental specialities!

Our society strives to create a network for students, regardless of gender all the while working for equality within the dental profession, at all stages.

While it is helpful to provide a platform within which specific discussions may be held and opportunities created, our intention is to craft a fully inclusive space, welcoming both women and men to join and support us in our endeavour for a more diverse and equal workforce throughout their careers.

We hope to provide access to information, support and role models to allow career ambitions to become a reality.
